We designed a students' residence in a traditional village in Areopolis, Mani. The intention was to integrate the hostel in the traditional style of the village, where the dominant building material was the stone, by utilizing native morphological features and aesthetics. The robust presence of stone dominates in separate overlapping volumes. In the first bedroom floors we used the “anepichristo” concrete which connects playfully the separate volumes of stone.
